Melville, New York, December 9, 1999 - Andrea Electronics Corporation (AMEX: AND), a leading designer and developer of digital audio input equipment and speech enhancement software, and VCON Telecommunications Ltd. (Nouveau Marché 022021), a leading developer and manufacturer of business Internet Protocol (IP) videoconferencing equipment and virtual meeting technology, announced today that Andrea Electronics’ patent-pending Direction Finding and Tracking Array (DFTA™) system, developed by Lamar Signal Processing Ltd. ("Lamar"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Andrea Electronics Corporation, will be incorporated into VCON’s new line of MediaConnect 6000 and 8000 videoconferencing products.

"The MediaConnect line of products was designed to offer a new level of high quality, flexible audio communications solutions for virtual videoconferencing meetings," said Ofer Sova, Group Systems Product manager of VCON Telecommunications, Ltd. This technology also operates with Lamar’s proprietary EchoStop™ echo-canceling algorithm to eliminate feedback generated by loud speaker sound output from the audio system. The result is a highly sophisticated and intelligent communications interface.
