(Amex: AND) announced that the Andrea Electronics DA-400 2.0 Desktop
Array(TM) far-field microphone was demonstrated at today's launch
of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The microphone, which
is optimized for use with PC voice applications, was used to demonstrate
sound quality breakthroughs in Windows XP for voice calling and to
demonstrate voice command for Windows Media Player for Windows XP.
The launch event took place at the Marriott Marquis, in the heart
of New York City's Times Square theater district.

featured in a demonstration of Plus! Voice command, a key feature
of Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP. Plus! Voice Command enables a
user to control Windows Media Player for Windows XP "hands-free,"
using speech commands.
Andrea Electronics DA-400 2.0 incorporates Andrea's patented Digital
Super Directional Array 2.0 (DSDA(R)) and patent-pending PureAudio(TM)
2.0 noise canceling software algorithms which enhance speech-enabled
applications in mobile, as well as home and office environments.
